pff this happened to me in boots recently but it was the self check out.
question to cashiers: why would someone choose the self check out when there was no queue at the regular ones?
answer: because they didn’t want to talk to anyone.
i go to the self check out, all going fine, and then the woman at the tills wanders over to go “ooooh your getting mudd” and not even in a nice way like if she had said “oh i use that it’s great” or anything, more like she was spying on me. maybe she thought i was going to try and scam them and steal stuff. if i was going to start to shoplift it wouldn’t be for mudd facemasks. i blanked her but she still hung around and then said “i’ll put these in a bag for you” even though i wasn’t bagging them on purpose. she did this then buggered off so i unbagged the items after and put them in my own bag which i had intended to do anyway. probably made me look even more like a shoplifter but whatever. sometimes people just want left alone.
