here’s a collage of today. it was a brilliant day. it was a high school-eque valentines day of cookies, mix tapes, and arcade games. stuart won me a toy meerkat wearing pink heart-patterned boxer shorts. i love him more than i can describe. and not just for winning the toy (though if you have ever played those claw machines you will know what a feat it is), but for being an all-round good guy to me. every day.
I know everyone is all about the V-day hate and how it’s commercialized bullshit and blah blah blaaaaah. But I don’t think it’s so bad, most holidays now have become really commercialized so really, why not just have fun with it?

it’s just like how it is for people with money or people who are thin … i can call you thin but dont you dare call me fat, and i can say what a waste of money this commercialised day is, and how it’s unfair to single people, but don’t you even think about being happy with what you have and enjoy it.
everyone has different things in their lives they can be happy about, and if that happens to be a partner who they want to buy flowers and chocolates and go out to eat with then just let them be.
so today i’m taking my husband to xscape and we’re gonna waste money on the penny falls, and those stupid claw to win a soft toy machines, then have a go on the dodgems and eat bk and drink too much blue slush and try not to run red lights on the way home … embrace the day lovies :)
